A residents push to ‘safe-guard’ MoonBria’s original internal letterboxes, over the proposed external “Bunnings”-style alternative, has resulted in a win for common sense.
Stonnington’s heritage advisor; Bryce Raworth Heritage Conservation in South Melbourne confirming; that the applicant; (ex Robin Boyd Foundation) architect Tony Lee’s proposed new external letterboxes would have had;
“a detrimental impact on the heritage significance of the site”.
It’s a result that protects the integrity of Ground’s vision, bank-vaulting this pitch perfect experiential design for future generations to come.
